We name the studio
after the graveyard
RIP Corp is a product and platform software studio. The name is a reminder: most companies, and most of their software, do not last. We exist to build the systems that do.
Durability is an engineering choice
Software fails for boring reasons: a rewrite that never lands, a vendor that raises the rent, a system nobody can safely change, a downturn that guts the team that understood it. None of that is fate. It is the result of decisions made early and paid for late.
We make the other decisions. Clear boundaries, portable infrastructure, small reversible changes, and knowledge that lives in the team and not in one person's head. It is less dramatic and it lasts a lot longer.

Portable by default
Every architecture ships with an exit. No lock-in to a cloud, a vendor or a framework we happen to like this year.
Boringly reliable
We optimize for the 3am page that never comes. Observability, testing and SRE are not add-ons, they are the product.
We hand back the keys
Our best outcome is a team that no longer needs us: documented, transferable, yours to run.
